PCIU’s Student/Youth Division provides a forum for regular interaction between students and youth groups in Pittsburgh with youth across the globe. In addition to teleconferences, exchange programs, newsletters, and debates, the youth division partners Pittsburgh and international students in the planning and implementing grassroots projects worldwide.
The bond developed by working together on grassroots projects to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems, including illiteracy, illness, and malnutrition, would create lasting goodwill and form the foundation for continuing dialogue.
PCIU provides students with the opportunity to conceptualize programs, form linkages with concerned groups overseas, prepare project and grant proposals, and ultimately implement the project in the selected region. Support and mentoring would be provided at all stages by experienced professionals.
